Activities to do this winter in Barcelona

2021 has begun, and with it, we have left behind a year that has meant for all an unprecedented situation due to Covid-19. Despite having changed the year and the vaccination stage started, the virus is still present, and that is why the leisure offer has been limited as a tool to keep the number of infections at bay. However, Barcelona is a city that offers so many possibilities, that there are many activities and options available despite the restrictions and measures applied. Do you want to know which ones we propose? Continue reading!

What can I do this winter in Barcelona?

  1. Go for a run on the Paseo Marítimo, Avenida Diagonal or Montjuic mountain: Are you worried that the gyms are closed to keep you in shape? Do not worry! Here are 3 places to go for a run to continue exercising. The first of them is the Paseo Marítimo, which begins at Port Vell and continues along the entire coastline. This is an area with a lot of life and always frequented by athletes of all kinds.

On the other hand, the section of Avenida Diagonal that runs from Plaza Françesc Macià to the University Zone, is also one of our favorites, given the width of the sidewalks and the number of trees.

Finally, we recommend you take a walk from Plaza España, going up towards Montjuic. A pleasant route during which you can exercise, while enjoying some of the best views of the city and plenty of garden areas.

  1. Sign up for a Paddle Surf class: Although the weather can throw off the coolest people, paddle surfing on the beaches of Barcelona is a super fun and complete plan. In addition, most companies and shops that organize this activity, lend you the material, which includes a neoprene. From within the sea, you will be able to appreciate the beauty of the semi-empty beaches, something impossible at other times of the year.
  2. Ride with Veni Vidi Cycling Culture and its Full Moon Ride: This is a fantastic plan to get to know the city, while you exercise and meet new people. On full moon nights, a group of people is organized who, from Plaza Lesseps, pedal up to the Tibidabo mountain, where after exercising they admire the beauty of the city and toast.
