How do I make my reservation?

Our student flats are fully equipped to make you feel at home. The rooms have all the bed linen (sheets, duvet) and pillow. In addition, we provide an extra set of sheets for you to use during your stay. We will also give you two sets of towels (shower and hand). The kitchens are also equipped to the detail. In short, just bring your clothes and personal belongings. Do not forget some photos to personalize your room (you have a cork where you can hang them) and go! Like at home!!

What payments do I have to make to book?

To make the reservation you must pay the amount of the deposit (650 euros for a double room and 900 euros for a single room) and for the contract costs (375 euros). The amount of the deposit will be returned at the end of the stay if there are no damages caused by misuse of the facilities of your university flat. Once we receive this payment, the reservation of the place in the selected student flat is confirmed.

Can I cancel the reservation after making the payment?

You can cancel your reservation up to two months before the booked arrival date. You will lose the amount paid as contract expenses. We will refund the amount of the deposit by bank transfer to the account you indicate. Remember that you must assume the possible bank commissions of the transfer. Cancellations less than two months in advance imply the loss of 100% of the amount paid.

What equipment will I find on the student housing and what should I bring in my suitcase?

Where will I have to collect my keys upon arrival in Barcelona?

We offer several alternatives: we can pick you up at the airport, take you to your student apartment and give you the keys. You can also hire someone to wait at the door of the apartment, accompany you to the apartment and explain to you where everything is located and how it works. If you prefer to go for free, you can pick up the keys at the address and schedule that we will provide a few days before your arrival. Tell us your favorite option by completing this form

When do I sign the lease?

You will receive the leasing contract through Signaturit so you can sign it online. If an original copy of the leasing contract is required, the signing will take place at our offices: C/Beethoven, 15, 7ª planta Hours: Monday to Thursday 9:00-14:00 and 15:00-18:00 hrs. Friday 9:00-15:00 hours. All students have to sign their contract for legal reasons.

When do I have to pay the first month of my stay?

The same day you sign the lease, you must pay the current month. If you arrive between the 1st and 15th, you will pay the full month. If you arrive after the 15th, you must pay only half a month. The months of January and September are always paid in full, regardless of the day of arrival.

Do I have to make any other payment upon my arrival?

You will have to pay the contracting expenses, which are 250 euros. If your school or university has a collaboration agreement with Vanguard Student Housing you will have discounts on this amount. Consult our partners section and if your school does not have an agreement, do not hesitate to request it.

What happens if I cannot arrive on time?

Sometimes it can happen that you cannot travel on the scheduled date, either for personal reasons or for delays in visas. In this case, if you want to keep your place, you have to make the payment of the rent. Otherwise, the company reserves the right to cancel your reservation.

I'm already in my university flat

How do I pay my monthly rents?

To pay the monthly rent of your university apartment between the 1st and 5th of each month you will receive an email with a link in order you can pay with your credit card.

What are the rules of coexistence of my shared apartment?

To promote a good coexistence, we have designed internal rules of obligatory compliance. You can check them here

Who will be my roommates?

All the people who live in our apartments are always students, mostly international students. You can consult our reservation department and we will tell you the name (not last names), age, nationality and studies to carry out of each one of them.

What if I want to move to another of your apartments?

If once in Barcelona you decide to change to another of our flats you will have to pay back the expenses of contract. This will not be the case if it is Vanguard Student Housing who proposes the change for exceptional circumstances.

Can I receive visitors?

Yes, but you can not stay to sleep. To avoid discomfort the rest of the students, your visits should not stay after 22 hours. In any case, always consult your flat mates before inviting friends or family to your shared apartment.

What if there is an incident in my apartment?

Our maintenance department will be responsible for solving incidents within a reasonable period of time. If the damage is due to a misuse of the facilities, the responsible student must assume the cost of the repair.

Who is in charge of cleaning?

An external company contracted by Vanguard Student Housing will be in charge of cleaning your university apartment (room included) once a week, Remember that students are responsible for maintaining order on the student accommodation and having the kitchen and utensils clean. You will also take care of the laundry and washing of sheets and towels, for which you have a washing machine and dryer at no additional cost at your disposal.

What should I do on the day of departure?

You have not yet gone and we are sure you're already starting to miss your student life in Barcelona. It is time to say goodbye to all the flatmates that have accompanied you in your adventures at this time ... Maybe you can meet again visiting in your countries of origin someday :) For our part you just have to leave the keys on the table in your room.

What happens if I go ahead of schedule?

If for any reason you have to leave your student accommodation before the end of your rental contract, you lose the amount of the deposit. Exceptionally, if there is a notice of at least two months, you will only have a penalty of 230 euros (and the difference in rate from a longer rent to a shorter one if applicable). We will deduct this amount from your deposit and we will make a transfer with the difference.

When and how will my bond be returned?

Your deposit will be returned within a maximum of 21 days from your departure date after checking that there are no damages. It will be refunded by bank transfer.
